• Infant baptism is celebrated once a month during the 5:00 pm Vigil Mass and the 11:00 am Sunday Mass.  
• Adult Baptism is typically celebrated at Easter Vigil.  
• Arrangements for the celebration of Baptism are made by calling Kim Timmermann in the parish office.
  • Parents and godparents attend a Baptism Preparation Class to become familiar with the sacrament and how it is celebrated at St. Pius X.
  • We ask families to be active members of the parish for at least three months prior to baptism.

• The Eucharist is celebrated on weekdays, weekends, and holy days at Pius X.

• Requirements for children receiving their First Eucharist.
  1. For baptized children who are at least age 7 and in Second Grade.
  2. A child must have at least 2 years of formal formation (religious education) and be currently enrolled in the St. Pius X religious education classes.
  3. Prior to this preparation, children must have participated in the preparation for and celebration of First Reconciliation.
• Preparation for the Sacrament of First Communion begins in the spring with a parent meeting.
• Parents and child must attend a First Eucharist Retreat in the spring.
• Additional materials are required for Preparation of First Eucharist.
• Children eligible for the Sacrament of First Eucharist will be notified by mail in the end of January.

• Reconciliation is celebrated on Saturdays from 4:15 - 4:45 p.m. and at other times by appointment.
• Communal celebrations of Reconciliation are scheduled during Advent and Lent and are announced in the Parish Bulletin.
• Individual confession is also available on Ash Wednesday.

• For children/teens in grades 2-9.
• First Reconciliation Preparation usually happens in the Spring.
• First Reconciliation happens prior to participation in First Communion.
• Additional materials are required for Preparation for First Reconciliation.
• Children eligible for the Sacrament of First Reconciliation will be notified by mail in the end of December.

• Confirmation is celebrated for both adults and teens.  
• Preparation takes place throughout the year through the Rite of Christian Initiation for adults and through the High School Youth Ministry for teens. 
• Confirmation for adults and teens is celebrated on a scheduled date in the Spring.

• The preparation and date for the celebration of Matrimony is determined in a meeting with the parish's clergy.  PLEASE, do not make other arrengements until this meeting takes place.
• Matrimony may be celebrated either within or apart from the Eucharist.

• Anointing of the Sick can be administered anytime during a physical, spiritual, or emotional expierience of your life. 
• Anointing of the Sick may be celebrated either individually or in community.  
• To arrange for emergency Anointing of the Sick, call the parish office.  
• In anticipation of surgery, Anointing of the Sick may be celebrated at a liturgy or privately.
• Communal celebrations of Anointing of the Sick take place throughout the year.
• Reception of the Eucharist may also be given with an Annointing of the Sick.
